That was easy

I really am such. a. bum. This is dry shampoo'ed and teased hair. A shirtdress. A long sweater. Earrings I've been wearing for days. I took just minutes throwing this outfit on. And a grand total of 3 minutes on hair and eyemakeup. I was simply not in the mood to pay attention. My dog had an attention needy, cuddly morning, and I much preferred snuggling to a blow out.

The result is the reason I adore shirt dresses. I spent literally seconds deciding what to wear and I look okay. I will never profess looking pristine, but I look presentable. Acceptable. Passable.

What are your lazy day go-to's?

Dress: Banana Outlet...Cardigan: Gap...Shoes: Steve Madden...Earrings: Banana

Orly Nail polish: Solid Gold (matte) with shine topcoat
Enjoy your Thursday evening.

  1. My life wouldn't function with dry shampoo. My lazy day outfit is tailored jeans, shirt (tucked in), necklace, ballet flats & hair up in a bun ... Pretty much what I wore yesterday.

  2. Anytime I'm feeling extra lazy I'll throw my hair up into a messy bun and throw on the closest shirtdress and boots and I'm out the door. You look super cute! And I love the gold nails.

  3. These are the best outfits, because they're the ones that show you REALLY know what you're doing. Most people couldn't look like this in under-5, and you look gorgeous! Simple, chic, classic, and just a little slouchy. Awesome.

  4. You are SO beautiful! Seriously, you look so effortlessly elegant and lovely in these photos. I love that you chose to snuggle instead of blow out your hair :) That's what mornings were made for. Such a cute, easy, look. Love it!

  5. Oooh, gold nails! Awesome.

My jeans are definitely my lazy go-to, but I usually don't pair them with something nice. That's my new goal - find pieces that don't require a lot of work to look amazing! I did recently learn how to do a bun on the top like yours, and that is MUCH better than my usual chopstick routine, and is just about as easy.

  6. Love the updo!

My lazy go-to would definitely be jeans, a T-shirt and sneakers (or a nice blouse and flats, if I want to be dressy.) But I can see that a shirt dress can be really easy to throw on too!
